I'm looking to create a captivating iOS platform game with a total of 31 levels. Every 5th level should engage players in a fight with a boss, while level 31 should feature an epic boss. Key Features: - 31 levels: The game should offer a total of 31 levels. Players should be able to progress through them in a logical and challenging manner. - Boss and Epic Boss Fights: The game should have a built-in system that triggers a boss fight every 5th level, as well as an epic boss fight on level 31. These fights should be challenging and engaging. - Coin Collection & Power-Ups: There should be coins scattered throughout the levels that players can collect. These coins can be used to purchase in-game power-ups. I envision the power-ups having a direct impact on gameplay by either enhancing the player's abilities or increasing their health. Art Style: - I'm particularly interested in a Cartoonish 2D art style. This should give the game a fun and engaging aesthetic that will appeal to a wide audience. Desired Power-Ups' Functions: - Health Increase: Some power-ups should increase the player's health, allowing them to sustain more damage. - Ability Enhancement: Other power-ups should enhance the player's abilities. This could mean increasing their speed, jump height, or attack power, amongst other possibilities. Hi, We’re looking for a skilled female app developer to build a quick MVP and convert a physical card game into a mobile app game for both iOS and Android platforms. Quick note: I appreciate those who feel the need to start a chat and not so much those who have not bothered to read the brief before wanting to chat. I'll only start a chat if you have at least 2 to 4 links to card games you have published. Skills and experience required for this project: Experience converting physical card deck games into digital game experiences would be the ideal provider. The game brief overview: "Ello" is a two-player game played with a standard 52-card deck, where each player starts with 26 cards. The game assigns values to only four cards in the deck. In each turn, players alternate, placing one card face-up. The objective in each round is to play a card that exceeds the value of the first card played. If it doesn't, the player loses that round and collects all the cards played. The winner initiates the next round by dealing and placing a new card down. Contrary to many traditional card games where accumulating cards is beneficial, "Ello" challenges players to do the opposite. The first player to rid themselves of all their cards wins. We have: - Game brief. - A wee demo video of the physical game in play. - The card game rules. - The basic logic. - Basic wireframe of the game (not UI), Flow. What we don’t have: - Finished artwork - (However, we are using a standard design of a deck of cards, readily available for $5 online. - Other graphics design elements, icons, etc. - Motion graphics or animations, Audio and sound effects were selected. - Haptic needs - although we have a few ideas. App engagement and interactions are fleshed out. We will need you to: - Develop a mobile app version of the two-player card game "Ello!" with consideration to the following: Key Features: - Card Value Mechanics: - Only Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces have winning score value. - Other cards have no value and serve to cue the next player's turn. - The suits have no specific value or role. Gameplay Flow: - Players flip the top card of their deck. If a value card is flipped, the player drops additional cards based on the card's value. The game continues in turns until one player has no cards left. Winning Criteria: - The first player to play all their cards wins. Technical Requirements: - User Interface: - The app should have an intuitive and engaging interface. Smart, clever use of interactive elements like shaking the app to shuffle the cards or tilting the phone device downwards to deal? Gameplay Mechanics: - Accurate implementation of the game rules. - Smooth card-flipping animations and sound effects. - Mechanism to track and display the number of cards each player holds. Metrics/Scoring/tracking the play: - Display on who’s winning. - Gamification basics: - Leaderboard for when players are in play. - Display winners. - Add a series of ways to win - Like choosing ‘Best out of 3 games wins,” etc. Multiplayer Functionality: - The game should support two players. - Consideration for future updates to include online multiplayer capabilities. Platform Compatibility: - The app should be compatible with both iOS and Android platforms. Additional Features: - Ability to play against an AI opponent.’ Monetization: - The in-app advertising model will need consideration if needed. Submission to App stores: - Follow best UI practices for both Android and Apple. - Have it ready to submit to the Apple and Android stores. - Assist with any modifications required or needed by Google/apple. Development Considerations: - The best cross-dev platform to build on. - Prioritize a user-friendly interface with responsive controls. - An intuitive onboarding experience for users.
